1800's Articulated Dental Wall Table
These floating dental tables are almost impossible to find and is one of my favorite items.
It was the table a Dentist would pull out just over the patient. He could then have all his tools at hand during a procedure.
Mixing old and new technology... I use a similar example as a computer laptop table in my office.
The adjustable arm is a complex arrangement and is an interesting example of early technology.
This table has an interesting and uncommon octagon shape. 2 sides have small draws with brass pulls. The swiveling table is 15"x15".
With the arm open it reaches approximately 55" from the wall. The top has the original black textured leatherette that is
bordered with a wood frame. This example came out of Germany and has a unique highly detailed gothic style. The arm is complex and
allows the table to be raised, lowered, slide away from the wall and always keep it level. There is also a geared locking mechanism.
The metal parts have a wonderful aged patina.
